Carson’s Food and Drink - Downtown

If you haven’t made it to Carson’s, yet, you have a real treat ahead of you. Not only is the food delicious, but the space is unique and gorgeous and has such a fun and lively vibe.

We started with the salmon bruschetta, which is as beautiful as it is tasty. Maisie often opts for this and a side as her meal if she’s wanting a lighter dish.

Now, about this sandwich...

I took photos of this from several angles, but none of them make this mouthwatering dish look as good as it is. This is the ham and gruyere sandwich, served with gouda broccoli. First, a note on portion size. This sandwich is absolutely ample for two to share.

“Sandwich“ describes how the ingredients are assembled, but don’t even attempt to pick this monster up. Between the slices of toast are ham, gruyere, mustard, and chutney. Atop the sandwich are bacon and a perfectly-runny, fried egg. This is a hearty fork-and-knife meal.

We’ve had many of the dishes on the menu at Carson’s and have never been disappointed. The grilled hearts of romaine with tuna, the broccoli and gouda soup, and the crab salad are some of our favorites. And if you’re in the mood for a Bloody Mary, those beauties are served with bacon, peppers, olives—enough to almost be the meal! Menu and Hours: https://www.carsonsfoodanddrink.com
