A long-time favorite of ours has been Azur. And with patio season upon us, now is the time to get to know Azur if you don’t already. Chef Jeremy Ashby’s versatility and creativity mean that everyone in your dining party will find something that checks off their boxes. A burger and fries? One of the best we’ve had in town! A creative vegan dish? Just ask, and Chef Jeremy will put something delicious together for you.
If you haven’t tried the pimento cheese fritters, you must! A creative spin on a favorite Southern spread, these fritters are topped with peach chutney—the perfect combination of salty and sweet.
For our entrée, we enjoyed a gorgeous, rich mahi-mahi dish with asparagus atop lobster mac and cheese, which was a special for the day. Maisie and I split the dish and still had leftovers. (The photo above is of the half portion.) Chris had the blackened salmon sandwich, pictured below, as tasty as always. We were too full to add a dessert but look forward to giving these a taste another day.
